On 25th and 26th November 2018, Chris and I attempted, and beat, the Guinness World Record for ‘Most Capital Cities Visited in 24 Hours By Scheduled Transport‘!
In 23 hours and 50 minutes, we visited London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague, Bratislava, Vienna and Budapest.
We had a security alert in Paris that caused us to miss a vital connection, made it from train to gate in 9 minutes at Amsterdam Schiphol airport, very nearly missed our bus connection in Bratislava and arrived at the finish in Budapest with just 10 minutes to spare.
Yesterday we were invited to a meeting in Edinburgh as Guinness World Records wanted to interview us for a feature they are planning. We had the pleasure of meeting Craig Glenday, Editor-in-Chief of Guinness World Records, who confirmed our record had been approved and presented us with our certificates.
Here’s the video of how it all happened!
